I chatted with a dear friend Julie yesterday (shot her wedding this September!!) and we talked about how isolated we can get once married and have children... she encouraged me to reach out and MAKE friends.

I called a girlfriends sis n law today and picked up her son and took hers and mine to a kids movie at the dollar theater! It was fun! and i figure that the more i reach out the more i will have friends and resources all around me for help when i need it. and don't get me wrong ~ this wasn't to "gain" something down the road, it was FUN!

I just said no to the computer today! (wait, i am on it! LOL) but in any event i think i will take a nap now!!! wow, lindy

I am at what feels like a precipice.

i have known for a long time that i work too much. i don't mean "work" i mean Lindy "go go go go go go go go then go some more!" In the roles of my life i am a

mother first and foremost.
wife
teacher
photographer
business owner/women (this alone is like 10 different things)
homemaker (again ten more things)
Christian

I could keep listing but the point of this rant is that i feel so isolated. I am successful in my business ~ in fact i cant keep up with the demand for my work ~ my son loves me and i love him. I try my best to keep my home clean and a place that the spirit of God can preside in. I should be bursting with fruit flavor right? Where is my starburst?

I don't want to say that i am feeling a depression but maybe i am? I am just too tired to be depressed! lol

Each of the things that i listed are close to if not two full time jobs! and i am just lost in them. all the things that i listed are things that i provide or do for others. where did i go? I feel like the song by the counting crows 'have you seen me lately' just sort of buried under my responsibilities.

last week i read a novel till 5am because this other world i was in was fantastic and free ~ then i was a horrible mom all day! it was such a miserable attempt to enjoy me time! is there me time?

i am almost wanting to quit, run away for a few weeks. (with cooper of course) but i know that this fragile world that i live in would disappear if i stop. I want to have a hobby. I want to have friends that call me to "hang out". I want to have friends and family that can watch cooper so i can date my husband.

what a complainer right? ugh. feel pretty alone. and buried. where did i go?

I have a motto pinned up by my computer that reads

"I am not the sum of my responsibilities. I am not a photographer, or a statistic, or a constitutionalist, or anything other people think i am. I am REAL. I am TRUE. i am ALIVE. and right now i am taking a moment to remember that and BREATHE."

I read that daily and then think..."sigh, wonder when that will Feel real."

he said a few things the other day....enjoy!

we heard him wake up from his nap and rushed into his room and climbed in his bed one of us on each side and he yelled "ONE AT A TIME, ONE AT A TIME!!!!"

at the pool i helped him put his swim cap on and got my hands stuck and said "help cooper my hands are stuck under your cap!" and he said"well, it looks like your swimming with me!"

rafting the river with my mom i said"why do humans have hair on their toes?" mom says"i don't" Jon then asks her if she is a human...cooper says "yeah, are you a dog Grammy?"

he is getting so smart and so witty! and i LOVE his sarcasm! (much to his other grandmas dismay) we are a sarcastic bunch!

at dinner he spits some food in conversation and i tell him he just shot some food out..."cus my mouth is like a gun!"

then i use his straw and blow bubbles and said "oops, i put the straw in upside down!" and turned it over and sipped it, "thats better" he stares at it and then picks it up, turns the straw over again, drinks, and then says "mom, this thing works both ways" all knowingly

rad. rad. rad.

Hi, needing a little me time i guess. End of season, 20,000 images sitting in my computer to edit. Tired. feeling alone.

i am just too busy. i need to limit my work more than i do or i am going to look 50 at 30. my job lets me keep my one friend....and shower at times. lol, but its true. thank goodness for kim hanging in there and helping me soooooo much. she is nannying Cooper for the next couple weeks to help me keep up. i should be able to catch up over the next few.

wondering if this is life...busy busy and you never catch up. whats the trick? funny thought~ each fall i think "man, its going to be easy being JUST a mom again. but then each spring i think..."i am sooooo busy as a mom how will i do another wedding season?"

I love my job. I love being a mom. I love serving in my ward. I love social hour...i just seem to always struggle with balance!

will i ever GET IT? i need to go running. Or to a movie, or get a massage. I love my LIFE but man, i am tired.

I couldn't be more proud of her. i was looking at her the other day and thinking "she doesn't look as old as she is!" and it hit me ~ she grew up! weird, right? yeah! I got to demo this lens for Elaine and Justins wedding and of course fell in love with it! the ability to control your f stop all the way zoomed in is fantastic! look at these sharp images!!! wow, i want to buy that les yesterday! and on top of this fantastic lens this was the weddin gi have been anticipating for the last few months! My favorite moment was watching Elaine dance with her dad when it was thought before he wouldn't even be there for her wedding! here is my favorite picture from the wedding...
I was so thankful that i met them, learned Marks story and was moved to help! her wedding was fantastic and all their vendors did an outstanding job! thanks to everyone who donated services to let Elaines dream happen!

Isn't she gorgeous!!!!! I had so much fun shooting her! we went all over, and never had to retake shots because her smile stayed so perfect the whole time! i had a blast!

Ok, so the story goes as follows... Davi (top) had her birthday party on saterday and cooper practiced and practiced his proposal... brought a ring pop and then DID IT!!!! she said yes and hugged him SOOO big! it was adorable! then later that evening while revelling in his accomplishment he asked olivia (bottom) that night! he picked some flowers and handed them to her saying "here, i picked you some flowers will you marry me?" he is so cute!!!!

Here is my adventure with Mitch and his mum and dad.... prepare we were crazy! We found this totally rad burned building that we tresspassed on to get these! and we decided we needed the bike up IN the building! so we found a small set of stairs and a bit ot corregated tin and made a ramp... mom and i gritted our teeth and laughed about how boys will be boys (and prayed for saftey under our teeth) and they did it!!! see!? getting it down was really scary! but well worth the shots!!! click here to see the whole slide of them!

Cooper passed his ISR swim course in his THIRD week. wasn't even in to his fourth! right now he is diving, doing the backstroke and just bieng an awesome shark/fish!

cooper is quite the little rockstar in his truck! And of course jon rigges it with a lawnmower battery so that it is really zippy! he goes faster than we can run! (well...downhill and maybe a little wind help!) but he spins out and can power slide when asked, and loves to show off! he can do a 180 slide then kisck back into speed quick going the other way! i think we are raising a stunt driver!!!

This Easter was so much fun! we cannot believe how fun Holidays are with your own family in your own home! We thought that they couldn't get better! And they did! My mom tells this story of how they traveled to Canada each winter for christmas for like five years then they decided to stay home and she says - "the sound of her little babies feet running down the stairs on christmas morning was more than she ever could have dreamed for christmas" but she forgot about easter!!!! what fun! here are a few pictures of his hunt and then later that day making easter eggs with the nieghbors (who really admire and LOVE coopy) Benni is on the right...he is his favorite buddy ever. cant wait for egg candy and suprises again next year... we got to teach coopy that the easter bunny comes to help us remember that Jesus loves us, died for us and that he LIVES> watching his surele confidant face say "thats right!" (like he always knew and is suprised that we knew!) was somthing else. and later that week he told his grammy "the easter bunny hid us candy to tell us Jesus is alive" it was great. family is the best thing on earth. lind

Its finally warm enough for the pool! We made some new friends too! Audrey and Davi (short "A" in davi)

They come swim with us and make pizza's and whatever they feel like...last time here they played "hero"
where the girls are maidens in distress and Cooper the knoble night comes to rescue them - it was fun because we didnt say a word!!! And the girls mom Kristin and I have become best of pals too - I am shooting her wedding this May 30th (thats how we met)

We want to come visit you all and are looking forward to Robs wedding! lind

Cooper can FLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was testing my friends studio lights out and coopy was flying to jon over and over for me!!! it was fun. i want a studio!

Lindy went to Vegas for a WPPI conferance (wedding proffesional...somthing) and learned that she is allready doing everything that she needs to be doing and better! there were over 400 vendors selling products and wedding albums but only ONE had the album that Lindy currently makes for her clients... and they rant and rave about them! she has 25 wedding signed through december of this year allready and only one a weekend- so it should be easier and just as good as last year! the season is about to kick off, come ap 25 she has but one weekend off till september. wish us luck this season. It sounds like we have recruited stephanie (aka Yope-E) to live with us this summer and annny cooper...which wil be a blast! Coopstar today said...just let me go be alone with yope-E and you go away momma. so i think he is really anticipating it too!

Cooper picked out and bought his first church outfit!!! he loves to get it out and ready on saturday nights...its a joy to watch him get ready - wanting to look good and presentable at church!
